Reporting Dashboard Development

Live business reporting from the systems you already run, automated dashboards, scheduled reports and client-facing reporting without the weekly spreadsheet.

Drill-down on a queryJust now

If someone spends Friday afternoon building the weekly report, this is for you. Superstack offers reporting dashboard development NZ businesses use to replace that job: live dashboards, scheduled PDF reports and client-facing reporting drawn from your accounting software, your CRM and your job system, so everyone quotes the same numbers.

The problem

the Friday afternoon report

  • Every Friday someone exports from your accounting software and the job system into a spreadsheet and fixes the formulas.
  • The master workbook links to other files. Someone moves one and the numbers go stale before anybody notices.
  • Sales quotes one revenue figure, accounts another, and the meeting becomes an argument about whose spreadsheet is right.
  • Our bigger clients want a monthly report on our work. Each one is a manual job that runs late.
  • A number looks wrong and nobody can click into it. Finding what sits behind it takes another afternoon.

What Superstack builds

reporting dashboard development without the spreadsheet

We start with the report you build now, not a blank dashboard. We trace where each number comes from, connect those systems and build a custom reporting dashboard that produces the same report every week without anyone assembling it.

Example workflow

Overnight the connectors pull the day's jobs, hours and invoices, the model recalculates, and the dashboard is current before anyone arrives. Monday's PDF goes to the management team on its own. On the first of the month each client's report appears in their portal. A person steps in only when a number raises a question, and then they click into it.

Integrations

Your accounting software supply invoices and payments. HubSpot or your CRM supplies pipeline and won deals. Job, timesheet and booking systems supply hours and completed work. Google Sheets covers anything kept by hand, Stripe reports card takings, and the model exports to Power BI.

Any system with an API connects. Click a logo to visit them.

Add AI when it actually makes sense

AI is optional. Reports run without it. We add it only where it removes a job done by hand. See how we use AI and where it fits into business process automation.

Web app, mobile app and customer portal

Web app

Managers and the office team use the web app to read dashboards, set report schedules, define calculations and manage who sees what. It replaces the spreadsheet that took Friday afternoon.

Mobile app

The mobile app is the live reporting tool NZ managers open between site visits: today's numbers, the client report before a meeting, and a drill into anything that looks off.

Customer portal

Your clients log in to a client reporting portal and see their own reports: this month's visits, audits and issues, with history. All three share one database, so a client sees the figure your account manager sees.

FAQ

Power BI is a tool your team learns and builds reports in, with a licence per user and the data modelling left to you. We build the reports, on a data model we maintain, with scheduling, client publishing and permissions included. If you already use Power BI, we export to it.

Anything with an API or an export. Your accounting software, HubSpot, Stripe, Google Sheets, your CRM, job management, timesheets and booking systems are the usual ones. For older software with no API we work from scheduled exports or a direct database connection. We list every source and field before the build starts.

Every calculation is written down and every number can be traced. Business reporting software earns trust when a manager can click a total and see the invoices behind it, so drill-down is built into every report. During the build we run the new reports beside your current spreadsheet until the two agree.

Yes. Client reports carry your logo, colours and layout, with the client's name and sites on each one. You choose what each client sees, from a one-page summary to a full breakdown by site, and the report publishes as a PDF, an email or a portal page on the schedule you set.

Yes. If we built your portal, the reports appear as a tab inside it, using the same login and permissions. If another company built it, we embed the reports through a secure link, or supply the data through an API so your portal displays it. The client sees only their own figures.

As a fixed scope, agreed before we start. The price depends on how many data sources we connect, how many reports and schedules you need, and whether clients log in. There is no per-user licence, so adding a user does not change the price. Hosting and support are a separate agreement.
