Inspection App Development

Digital inspections with photos, scores and instant PDF reports, captured offline, shared with the client and followed up.

Re-inspection bookedJust now

Superstack offers inspection app development NZ cleaning auditors, property managers and safety officers use to finish the job on site. The inspector scores, photographs and taps submit. The report reaches the client before the inspector leaves the car park, and the app tracks every action to completion.

The problem

the report written that night

  • Inspections happen on paper and get typed up that night. The typing takes longer than the inspection.
  • Reports take hours to build and reach the client days late, when the finding is old news.
  • Photos sit in a camera roll and nobody knows which finding they belong to.
  • Standards vary between inspectors. One passes a site the next one would fail, and clients notice.
  • Follow-up actions get raised and forgotten. Nobody tracks them, so the same finding comes back next quarter.

What Superstack builds

inspection app development, report done on site

We build a digital inspection app around your own forms and scoring. Each form becomes a guided walk through the site, so every inspector captures the same things and the report writes itself as they go.

Example workflow

The schedule puts the inspection on the inspector's phone with the right template. On site they walk the form, score each item and photograph anything that fails. Submitting triggers the rest: the app builds the PDF, emails the client, assigns each failed item to its owner and books the re-inspection. The inspector judges. The software types, sends and chases.

Integrations

Your CRM and job management supply sites, contacts and visit dates, and get the scores and reports back. Work order systems take failed items as jobs. Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 handle calendars and email, Twilio sends SMS reminders, and reports file into your document storage.

Any system with an API connects. Click a logo to visit them.

Add AI when it actually makes sense

AI is optional. Scoring, photos, reports and actions work without it. We add it only where it saves the inspector time. See how we use AI and business process automation.

Web app, mobile app and customer portal

Web app

Managers build templates, set schedules, review results and chase open actions in the web app. Account managers pull up any past report before a client meeting.

Mobile app

Inspectors live in the mobile app: the day's list, the template, the camera, the scores and submit. A site inspection app must work with gloves on and no signal, so it does.

Customer portal

Clients log in to see every inspection for their sites, scores over time, photos and open actions. All three share one database, so a client sees an action close as the contractor uploads the fix.

FAQ

Any inspection that follows a form and ends in a report: cleaning quality audits, property entry and exit inspections, health and safety walk-throughs, construction QA, vehicle pre-starts and equipment checks. If your inspectors carry a clipboard and a camera, the app replaces both. Technical inspections fit too, with the fields built in.

Yes. The PDF uses your logo, colours, fonts and cover page, and the layout follows your current report as closely as you like, so clients see no change except speed. For auditors working for several clients, the report carries the client's branding instead. Every report from every inspector comes out looking the same.

Yes. Offline is the normal case, not a special mode. The inspector downloads the day's inspections before leaving the office, so templates, past results and site notes sit on the phone. Photos, scores and notes save locally as they go. When the phone finds signal, everything uploads and the report goes out.

You choose the model per template. Pass or fail per item suits safety checks. A points scale per item with weights per section suits quality audits, where bathrooms matter more than corridors. The app totals the score, applies your pass mark and flags any item under its threshold, so two inspectors reach the same result.

Yes. When an inspection is submitted, the report emails to the contacts you set for that site, with the PDF and a portal link. You decide whether the inspector reviews it first or it goes straight out. Clients with a portal login see the history, and a failed inspection sends an SMS as well.

Yes. A failed item becomes an action with an owner and a due date, and that action can become a work order in your existing system or in Superstack's own work order management. The contractor closes it with a photo, the client sees it close, and the re-inspection checks the same item.
