Contractor App Development

Jobs, check-ins, evidence, timesheets, compliance and payments, one app for the contractors your business depends on.

Bill in accountingJust now

Superstack offers contractor app development for businesses that rely on subcontractors: cleaners, trades, facilities firms and property managers. Contractors get one app to accept jobs, check in, prove the work and get paid. You get evidence, compliance and a clean bill in your accounting software without the spreadsheet.

The problem

proof and payment

  • Contractor invoices arrive late, wrong, or not at all until someone rings about money.
  • I found out a contractor's public liability had lapsed when the client asked for the certificate.
  • A client says the job was not done. We have the contractor's word and nothing else.
  • Job details go out by text: address in one message, gate code in another, both lost.
  • Every week someone spends hours matching timesheets to jobs to invoices before anyone gets paid.

What Superstack builds

contractor app development built on proof

A contractor management app serves two people: the contractor who wants paying without chasing, and the office that wants proof first. We build both from one job record, so on-site evidence becomes the bill you approve.

Example workflow

The office creates the job once, or it arrives from your job management system. The app handles the offering, reminders, check-in record and timesheet. The contractor accepts, turns up, takes the photos and checks out. A person steps in twice: the site contact signs, and the office approves the timesheet. Approval triggers the invoice and the accounting bill.

Integrations

Your accounting software receives each approved invoice as a bill for batch payment, and payment status flows back to the contractor. Google Maps handles navigation and check-in location, Twilio sends offers by SMS, and your job management system or CRM supplies the jobs.

Any system with an API connects. Click a logo to visit them.

Add AI when it actually makes sense

AI is optional. The proof-and-pay loop runs without it. We add AI only where it checks evidence faster than a person. Read how we use AI and where it fits into business process automation.

Web app, mobile app and customer portal

Web app

Your office uses the web app for onboarding approvals, job offers, timesheet approval, compliance status, reports and your accounting software batch. The Friday payment run happens here.

Mobile app

Contractors use the mobile app on their own Android or iPhone. It is a contractor job app first: today's jobs, navigation, check-in, photos, signature, check-out and the invoice.

Contractor portal

The contractor portal is the browser version for a subcontractor's own office: renewed certificates, approved invoices, payment status and next week's offers. All three share one database, so a certificate uploaded here unblocks the phone.

FAQ

Contractors are separate businesses, so the app treats them that way. Each contractor owns their profile, documents and invoices. You see what you need to engage and pay them: compliance status, job history, evidence and bills. Nothing employee-shaped, such as leave or pay rates, and no tracking outside a check-in.

Yes. You pay for the platform, and contractors download the app at no cost to them. Charging contractors is the surest way to send them back to text and paper. The app has to be worth their while: faster payment, fewer phone calls and an invoice they never have to write.

Yes. Each document has an expiry date, entered at upload or read from the certificate. The contractor gets a reminder well before it lapses and again closer to the date, with the office copied in. An expired document flips the contractor's status to lapsed and blocks new offers until the renewal is checked.

Yes. Each approved buyer-created invoice becomes a bill in your accounting software with the contractor's bank account and job reference attached. On payment day you select the bills, create the batch payment in your accounting software and upload it to your bank as usual. When your accounting software marks the bills paid, the app tells each contractor.

Yes. The app stores the job, checklist, photos and check-in on the phone and sends them when a connection returns. A contractor in a basement plant room finishes the job as normal. Check-in uses the phone's clock and GPS at the moment of the tap, so offline evidence keeps its time and place.

Yes. One contractor login works across your entities, with each job tagged to the entity that pays, so invoices reach the right your accounting software organisation. Client-specific rules work the same way: a contractor doing a hospital site and a school site sees each client's induction, checklist and evidence rules on the job itself.
